Our timing seems to have worked out well this year for our free range pork production. We have 4 pigs ready this Saturday from the Clunes Butcher Shop all done up in ham and bacon.
Six more pigs are now with Pat and two will be Pasture porkers and the other four will be turned into Free Range Bacon and Christmas Hams (available early December). The hardest part will be remembering all the people who put up their hands for our hams–we are definitely sold out.
To make sure we are in better supply next year our Berkshire Boar Barney was working overtime yesterday on the four Gilts we have put in with him. It also looks like Babe will pig before Gypsy and we are ready for her to drop another 10 or so.
