An interesting blog subject line. We have so much abundance on the vine and ground that I can’t stop thinking about how to convert it and preserve it into farm goodness.
Over the years I have looked at a few dehydrators but surprisingly I have not hit the buy button. And here again is the magic of that decision…. “we don’t see the need to add another gadget to our collection.”
Time to have a go at drying some mango and grapes in our big Waldorf stove. I am thinking our oven should be the perfect temperature as we don’t turn off the pilot light and it’s always pretty warm.
