Herding, hosting, having a good time…
Cromwell Farms began when we bought a 16-hectare block in Goonengerry, NSW, over twenty years ago. Starting simply with a few chooks, Cromwell Farms now comprises two individual farm properties (in Goonengerry and Glenugie, NSW), a herd of Dexter cattle, heritage breed pigs and chickens, horses, kelpies, plus a citrus orchard, fruit trees and a market garden.
With the help of our three daughters, Aubrey, Morley and Bella, we began regenerative farming practices with a focus on pasture-raised, rare heritage breeds. As the girls grew up and moved on to their own adventures, we wanted to be able to share the beauty of the farm and the land with others.
Today, Cromwell Farms is more than a collection of properties. It’s a place where people can connect with nature, celebrate life’s milestones, spark creativity and experience the beauty of the Australian countryside and a slower pace of life.
We welcome expressions of interest for workshops, retreats, photography, filming, private events and other creative projects, with each enquiry considered individually to find the best fit for both the property and your vision.
While our accommodation is currently undergoing improvements and is expected to return in 2027, our commitment to sharing Cromwell Farms remains the same. Whether you’re looking for a unique venue, exploring opportunities to work with us, or planning a future stay, we’d love to hear from you.
A little further afield, our family also calls Glenugie Station in northern New South Wales and Porter Lake in Ontario, Canada, part of the Cromwell Farms story, each property reflecting our love of rural living, family and the outdoors.
When we’re not tending to the animals or working on the next farm project, you’ll most likely find Alison with her beautiful horses, Greg building something new, peddling boots or spending time with family whenever possible.
Thank you for visiting Cromwell Farms. We hope to welcome you to one of our properties soon.
With many thanks,
Greg & Alison Cromwell
