The Space
Porter Lake is nestled in the heart of Algonquin Park in Canada. Accessible via Hawthorne Drive, the cabin and private lake offer a tranquil retreat. With 4×4 access ensuring seclusion throughout the year, the journey to the cabin is a rewarding adventure. Whether you enjoy the snowy trails on snowshoes, navigate the rugged terrain with an ATV, or opt for the reliability of a 4×4 truck, the extra effort to reach this destination is truly worthwhile.

Guest Access
As a guest of Porter Lake, you will have access to the entire cabin and a private lake.
Other things to note
While we provide the essentials, we recommend you bring towels, ice, torches and sleeping bags.
A few important points to consider:
- There is no drinking water available at Porter Lake. We will provide you with jugs of drinking water and a map leading you to a spring on Hawthorne Drive. If you prefer, you can bring water purification tablets or filters for the well water.
- The lake area has limited reception, offering a perfect environment to unplug, relax, and unwind. However, it may not be ideal for work that requires internet access.
- This cabin, nestled in the woods, is suitable for all seasons. Expect encounters with wildlife during your stay, possibly even inside the cabin. While we strive to maintain the cabin for guests and the forest for furry friends, encountering a few mice, a red chipmunk, or a chipping sparrow is a possibility.
