It’s helpful to know what’s on hand for your stay with us!
Ever gone on holiday, ready to get cooking up a storm, only to find that there’s no olive oil or salt? Not ideal.
At each of our properties, you’ll find an array of items provided for your use during your stay and a few specialty bits and pieces that you can purchase (hello, mini bar!). We operate the mini bar on an honesty system, so if you delight in any of our extras you can deposit your total using the bank details provided or by paying cash into our little designated money box.
As farmers who delight in the land, it makes sense that we love to cook and eat well. And isn’t it lovely to have the time and a great kitchen to cook in while you’re on holiday?
That being said, if you’d rather just sit back and let someone else take care of the food for you when you stay with us, we can provide a range of catering options – from in-house chefs to pre-prepared meals or produce baskets. Get in touch with us to explore the options.
We’ve also compiled a little recipe booklet that you’ll find at each of our properties for inspiration when you stay with us and you can check out more of our recipes here too!
With that in mind, we have stocked our pantries with great staples to elevate your cooking, provided free of charge.

Need some ideas for those spices…?
You’ll find a curated booklet of beautiful recipes in our kitchens, designed specifically for a holiday at Cromwell Farms – easy, family-friendly and downright delicious. Until then, here’s a taste to springboard ideas using the beautiful herbs and spices we provide.
Zaatar
The perfect blend of thyme, sumac, sesame and marjoram. Try sprinkling it over eggs at breakfast, a tomato, cucumber and feta salad or serve it alongside some flatbread, olive oil and labneh.
Curry Spice Blend
Chilli, coriander, turmeric and cardamom. Use as the base of a chicken or vegetable curry or delicious curried sausages and mash.
Greek Spice Blend
Oregano, garlic, paprika, cumin and lemon. Perfect rubbed over a chicken and some vegetables before roasting or used to marinate lamb or pork then skewering and grilling.
Mixed Italian Herbs
Basil, thyme, marjoram, parsley and rosemary. Great for reinforcing that Italian flavour in soups and pasta sauces, adding some extra punch to a tomato salad or lifting a pizza.
Fennel
These sweet and slightly aniseed flavoured seeds are the dominant taste in Italy’s porchetta and feature heavily in Indian cooking. They also aid digestion and relieve bloating.
Cinnamon
Added to pancakes, sweet baked goods or your morning bowl of porridge, cinnamon is a must in any spice rack.
Dried Oregano
This Mediterranean herb is perfect for fish and prawns or sprinkled over a whole chook before roasting. Also, a main ingredient in chimichurri. Just grab some fresh parsley from the garden, garlic, chilli, vinegar, good olive oil and combine.
Chilli Flakes
These salted, oiled and dried chilli flakes also known as Aleppo pepper originate in Turkey, mild in heat and wonderful flavour will add just the right amount of kick to any of your cooking.
Eat from our farm
We can also provide you with a basket of farm-fresh, seasonal produce for you to enjoy during your stay. Fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat… just get in touch and we will be happy to put it together for you!
Ready to book your stay with us and get cooking? Bon appétit!
