Quality Farming: The Foundation of Healthy Animals

At Cromwell Farms, quality farming goes hand-in-hand with the health and happiness of our animals. We believe that sustainable and ethical farming practices create a harmonious environment where livestock can thrive, benefiting not only the animals but also the land and the communities around us.

Healthy animals start with quality care. Our Dexter cattle, heritage breed pigs, and free-range chickens are raised in open, natural settings where they can graze, forage, and roam as nature intended. This approach reduces stress, boosts immunity, and allows each animal to develop naturally and healthily. We never rush their growth or rely on intensive farming methods that compromise welfare.

Our commitment to regenerative agriculture ensures that our land is as healthy as our livestock. By rotating pastures, managing grazing patterns, and fostering biodiversity, we create fertile soils and nutritious pastures. This, in turn, provides our animals with a diverse, nutrient-rich diet that supports their overall well-being.

High-quality farming is about balance. We focus on building ecosystems where the animals contribute to the health of the land and the land nourishes the animals. This symbiotic relationship ensures that every aspect of our farm operates sustainably, producing ethical meat, eggs, and dairy products that are better for people and the planet.

Additionally, we emphasise the importance of maintaining low-stress handling techniques and allowing animals to follow their natural behaviours. This approach enhances their physical and emotional health, ensuring they live fulfilling lives while enriching our farm’s ecosystem.

At Cromwell Farms, our philosophy is rooted in respect—for the animals, the land, and the people who enjoy the food we produce.

Healthy animals aren’t just the result of good farming practices—they’re the heart of it.
